Who is football's greatest all time team and player? And what about this season?

Settle this. Greatest team ever: the '85 Bears, the 17-0 Dolphins, Lombardi's Packers or the '07 Pats? And greatest player: Brady with 7 rings, Montana 4-0 in Super Bowls, or are we all sleeping on Jerry Rice and Jim Brown? Meanwhile, this season: three teams are still unbeaten. The 49ers are 6-0, the Chiefs and Vikings are 5-0, and Mahomes just won his 100th game. Real contenders, or about to crash? Soccer people, yes, we know, Messi. Who you got?

This week: the 5-0 Chiefs visit the champion Seahawks on Sunday night. Cowboys at Eagles on Monday night, both 2-4. Plus Packers at Lions, the 6-0 49ers at Falcons, Colts at the 5-0 Vikings, and Steelers vs Saints in France. Make your picks below. Come back Monday to brag.

  • Omar3w ago

Brady. 7 rings, 10 Super Bowls, most wins ever. Then he leaves Belichick and wins another one in Tampa at 43. Everybody else in here is arguing for second place.

    • Noah3w ago

4-0 with zero picks. Brady lost 3, including the one where they were 18-0 going in. count THAT

      • Omar3w ago

you can't lose a Super Bowl you never got to. Brady got there 10 times, Joe got there 4. and before anybody says Belichick, Bill went 4-8 in his first year at UNC without him

    • Quinn3w ago

For the count-the-rings crowd: since April 2025 the NFL counts AAFC records, so Otto Graham officially has 7 titles too. Same 7-3 record in title games as Brady, and Graham played in the title game in all 10 of his seasons. Brady doesn't stand alone anymore. Look it up.

      • Liam B.3w ago

bro dug up a league from the 1940s to tie Brady 💀

        • Quinn3w ago

Then explain 1950, 1954 and 1955, son. Those are NFL titles, the league you do count. And his coach Paul Brown has 7 now, one more than Belichick.

          • Omar3w ago

so 3 NFL titles then. Brady won 7 in the cap era. not the same thing pal

  • Reese L.3w ago

fraud watch, 4 weeks in. vikings are 4-0 with no offensive TD in two weeks, beat a winless miami 15-10 on five field goals lol. 3-1 club isnt better, giants got jameis and the browns got watson. raiders number 1 pick still hasnt thrown a pass. name one of these teams thats real (packers are 2-2, we're not real either)

    • Zara M.3w ago

scoreboard. we beat YOU 39-22 week 1. 2nd in defensive DVOA and Reichard is 12 for 12. the 2000 ravens went 5 games without an offensive TD and won the whole thing

      • Reese L.3w ago

update: vikings signed OBJ to the practice squad wednesday. real contender stuff

    • Riley3w ago

bro we're 3-1 and we just beat Pittsburgh. call us frauds in December

  • Elena3w ago

you guys are arguing about the wrong football lol. it's Messi. the football you play with your FEET. and im a Mexico fan so typing that hurt. his last game for Argentina is against Benin, go watch a real GOAT

    • Liam B.3w ago

bro this is an nfl thread. messi couldnt return a punt

      • Elena3w ago

like 63 million people watched the final in July. thats more than any NFL game last season except the Super Bowl. you dont own the word anymore

        • Feli R.3w ago

and those 63 million watched Spain win it. Argentina didnt get a single shot in the first 90. all three hosts out in the Round of 16 too, Mexico included. no further questions

    • Diego S.3w ago

for the 'nfl thread' guys: Messi's last game for Argentina was two assists and a pen, 3-0 over Benin. 208 caps, 126 goals, both Argentina records. clown on the final all you want, he went out like THAT

      • Leo3w ago

ok Messi got his goodbye, now stop glazing. Ronaldo has 146 and he's still playing. Siuuu

  • Diego B.3w ago

'85 Bears and it's not close. Shut out the Giants AND the Rams in the playoffs and then put 46 on the Patriots. My top 5 ever: '85 Bears, '72 Dolphins, '89 Niners, 2000 Ravens, 2013 Seahawks. No 70s Steelers, no 90s Cowboys. Fight me.

    • Noah B.3w ago

funny, Miami put 38 on that defense on a Monday night in '85. and the '72 Dolphins are still the only perfect team ever, my guy

      • Quinn3w ago

Only perfect team of the Super Bowl era. The 1948 Browns went 14-0 and won the title game 49-7, and the NFL made it official last year. You've got company.

  • Theo R.3w ago

Mahomes is already past Montana and I'm not backing off it. 5 Super Bowls in his first 7 years starting, 17-4 in the playoffs. then he tears his ACL in December and KC is 4-0 like nothing happened. Brady, Montana or Mahomes, pick one

    • Noah3w ago

Respectfully, 3-2. Montana never lost one.

      • Hana B.3w ago

and the last one was 24-0 at halftime lmao. i put LIX on when im sad. go birds

    • Drew 213w ago

chiefs 4-0 and the refs already in midseason form. broncos fan, still not over 10-7 in the snow with Stidham

  • Nina K.3w ago

Georgia at our place Saturday night with GameDay in town and I've already stress baked two pies. We beat them 24-21 in Athens last year and then they got us 28-7 in the SEC title game, bless their hearts. Who's got it

    • Omar S.3w ago

28-7 is the one that counted. Dawgs by two scores

    • Ravi 923w ago

SEC gets both in no matter what happens Saturday. Big Ten won the last 3 titles btw. It just means more 😂

  • Kofi3w ago

Purdy has 11 TD, 1 INT and hasn't been sacked once in four games. Allen has 6 TD passes. explain to me how Allen is the MVP favorite and Purdy is still a 'system QB'. Mr. Irrelevant is the best QB in football right now imo

    • Maya B.3w ago

Allen also has 7 rushing TDs. Purdy has Shanahan drawing up layups.

      • Alex T.3w ago

        13 seconds

    • Liam T.3w ago

Purdy comes to Seattle Sunday. last time it was 41-6. we won a SB with Darnold, whats Brock's excuse

  • Casey R.3w ago

Calling it now, Rams win it all. Stafford's the reigning MVP and we got Aaron Donald back out of retirement lol. just came back from 10 down in the 4th at the Linc too. Super Bowl is at SoFi. Who's beating us in our own building?

    • Sam3w ago

Donald AND Garrett on the same line?? nobody is blocking both of them lmao this is unfair

      • Riley3w ago

Garretts been on IR since mid September bro. Browns fans still check on Myles like an ex lol

    • Marco3w ago

cardinals fan so let me have this one. Stafford just passed Favre for most pick sixes THROWN

  • Riley R.3w ago

My dad and I watched Super Bowl XX in our basement in Joliet when I was 6. When it hit 46-10 he picked me up and spun me around so hard he knocked a lamp over. He passed in 2019. Every time somebody calls the '85 Bears overrated I think about that lamp.

    • Maya _x3w ago

my grandpa was at the Ice Bowl. 13 below and he talked about Starr's sneak until the day he died. sorry about your dad, that's a good lamp

  • Avery R.3w ago

Everybody's arguing quarterbacks like nobody else ever played the game. Jerry Rice has 22,895 receiving yards over 20 seasons and nobody is ever touching that. Jim Brown led the league in rushing 8 times in 9 years and walked away at 30 right after an MVP season; his 104.3 a game is still the only career average over 100. When NFL Network ranked its top 100 in 2010 it went Rice 1, Brown 2. Name one record in any sport as far out of reach as Rice's yardage.

    • Leo K.3w ago

jim brown played against plumbers. put him in 2026 and he's a rotational back at best

      • Avery R.3w ago

8 rushing titles in 9 years against everybody they lined up, kid. put your guy in a 1960 helmet and we'll see who's rotational.

  • Alex3w ago

Bucs Thursday night is an easy W. 0-4 with an undrafted rookie at QB. How bout them Cowboys

    • Iris T.3w ago

Commanders fan here. Dallas hasn't been to an NFC title game since the 1995 season. I was in diapers. I have a mortgage now.

      • Alex3w ago

longest conference title game drought in the league, I'm aware. still hung 37 on yall in week 2

        • Casey3w ago

lol no, just the NFC. Cleveland's last one was the '89 season and ours was '92

    • Ravi3w ago

you gave up 30 to the 0-4 Texans. Baker's thumb is dislocated and so is my patience. Bucs by 3

  • Zara B.3w ago

My husband is Eagles, I'm Cowboys. Thanksgiving is a hostage situation. He does air quotes every time he says America's Team. Our 10 year old picked the Lions so she wouldn't have to choose.

  • Taylor _x3w ago

my top 5 all time: 1 Brady 2 Jerry Rice 3 Jim Brown 4 Montana 5 Mahomes. dont care who's mad

    • Sam K.3w ago

No Reggie White?? 198 sacks. Come on man

    • Kofi _x3w ago

Mahomes in a top 5 over Peyton Manning. 5 MVPs, most ever. you guys just hate Indianapolis

  • Alex K.3w ago

Indiana went 16-0 last year and has won 21 straight. this program had 713 losses before Cignetti showed up. greatest turnaround in the history of the sport. I win, Google me.

    • Noah R.3w ago

21 straight and you come to Lincoln Saturday at 11. We're unbeaten too. The '95 Huskers outscored people 638-174 and trailed once all season. Call me when you do that.

      • Alex K.3w ago

we went 16-0 Pops. see you Saturday

    • Feli K.3w ago

2001 Miami had 17 first rounders, relax. yall beat us by 6 in our own stadium. The U is 5-0

  • Kofi L.3w ago

2000 RAVENS on a greatest teams list over the 70s Steelers?? get help. Four Super Bowls in six years with the Steel Curtain, the Bears and Dolphins cant say that. Tomlin's gone and our QB is 42 so yes I live in the past.

  • Priya 923w ago

Can we talk about the 0-4 teams. Stroud has over 1,100 yards and ZERO picks and we've blown late leads in 3 of 4 games. Texans at Titans Sunday is the toilet bowl. Worst 0-4 team in the league, go

    • Jordan _x3w ago

trade you. Herbert has 6 picks, Stroud has zero. we made the playoffs last year!!

    • Casey3w ago

Dolphins. 32nd in ESPNs rankings and our highlight is a rookie with 18 tackles in one game

    • Taylor3w ago

titans fan here, does winning the toliet bowl mean were better or worse

  • Jamie3w ago

Barry Sanders is the best running back ever and people hold one playoff win against him. ring culture is a disease

    • Alex3w ago

Emmitt has the record, 18,355. and a '93 season nobody else has ever had. records beat vibes

      • Jamie3w ago

Emmitt had that o-line. Barry had a fullback and a prayer. give Barry 3 more years and nobody is typing 18,355

    • Reese S.3w ago

Walter Payton. 170 straight starts. Next question.

  • Drew S.3w ago

My 19 year old nephew says Purdy is better than Montana because of QBR. Montana won 4 Super Bowls. We are no longer related.

  • Quinn M.3w ago

the AFC East was a 20 year bye week for Brady. source: jets fan. we were the bye week

  • Avery T.3w ago

  • Priya R.3w ago

whoever's calling the Raiders frauds, we're 3-1 and the start Mendoza crowd got real quiet fr

  • Iris3w ago

    • Jamie K.3w ago

      i watch it every week

  • Jordan3w ago

every one of these threads has a browns fan citing the AAFC and somebody's uncle bringing up Tebow

  • Yuki K.3w ago

we FINALLY won a knockout game!! beat Bosnia at Levi's and I cried. then I was in Seattle for Belgium 4-1 and Pulisic leaving in tears wrecked me for a week. I believe that we will... eventually

  • Marco 923w ago

whoever said Messi up there, Pele won 3 World Cups. Brazil 1970 won every game and beat Italy 4-1 in the final. Norway knocked us out this summer so dont talk to me about 2026. Top 3 national teams ever, go

    • Morgan R.3w ago

Hungary in the early 50s. Beat England 6-3 at Wembley and 7-1 in Budapest, then lost the '54 final 3-2. The '07 Patriots of soccer. I'm still not over it and I wasn't even born yet.

  • Jordan T.3w ago

All this MVP talk and nobody's typed Trevor Lawrence. Jags 3-1, finally beat Burrow. Nobody outside Duval cares and that's fine with us

    • Morgan B.3w ago

burrow throws for 428 and we still lose to the jags at home. chase in the concusion protocol

  • Reese3w ago

JEREMIAH SMITH. 11-206-2 on Iowa and people are crying about a Heisman pose. let the man pose

  • Theo3w ago

Mbappe has the World Cup goals record and two Golden Boots. Ballon d'Or on the 26th should be his. 'stat padder' my a**

  • Omar R.3w ago

McMillan put up 192 on yall and people still talk about us like its 2023

  • Omar3w ago

wife asked who im arguing with at 1am. told her a Browns fan who thinks Otto Graham is Brady. she went back to sleep. I am NOT losing to the AAFC

  • Hana B.3w ago

we blow a 10 point 4th quarter lead to the Rams and now Jurgens and Lane Johnson are gone?? the tush push is gonna be me and three guys from the Linc parking lot

  • Taylor 923w ago

Georgia-Bama is for No. 2. Texas has been No. 1 four straight weeks and yall still kill Arch over 3 picks

  • Diego R.3w ago

45 on us in Cam Jordan's last year. Brees making the Hall is the only good news we've had all year

More debates people can't stop arguing about
